  • What is aMANda's Best Friend?

    aMANda’S BEST FRIEND, LLC is a personalized in-home (your home) pet care service. We are bonded and insured.

  • What sets aManda's BEST FRIEND apart from other pet care services?

    • We become part of the family.
    • We offer real-time updates on pets for your peace of mind.
    • We’re a bonded and insured company with hired employees vs. independent contractors.
  • What are your hours of operation?

    8:00am – 9:00pm depending on scheduling and availability.

  • Do you board animals?

    No, we do not board animals. We care for your pet(s) in your home while you’re away.

  • Do you spend the night?

    We do not stay overnight, but definitely watch animals while people travel with multiple visits throughout the day. In travel scenarios, most people have us come between one to four times per day depending on the type of pet(s), age of pet(s), and specific needs for your pet(s).

  • Who are your employees and do you screen them?

    We hand select our employees based on their experience with and love for animals, customer service experience, and passion for taking care of animals. We background check all candidates, who are hired as W-2 employees rather than independent contractors. To provide ultimate peace of mind, our employees use a technology called Pet Check that gives our customers real-time, detailed updates during our service.

  • May I first meet an employee?

    Of course! Our relationships and becoming part of your family are one of the most important things to us. An initial Meet and Greet with your primary caretaker is mandatory and is $25. After that we will either personally train another employee, or you can request an additional Meet and Greet with your pet in their environment.

  • Will it always the be the same employee?

    Consistency and structure are essential to the happiness and well-being of your pet(s). Each household is set up with a primary caretaker who you meet at the Meet and Greet. With your permission, we will then train one to two other employees to be able to assist with the care of your pet(s) and home.

  • Will my dog(s) be walked with other dogs?

    No, we only offer exclusive dog walking. The Humane Society recommends that dogs should be walked one-on-one or, if a customer has multiple dogs, only the dogs in that specific household.

  • May I request an exact time for my pet(s) to be visited?

    We do not guarantee exact times unless previously discussed. We request a two-hour window in which you would like service provided. Give or take, we will do our best to arrive within 30 minutes of the desired times you listed—sometimes things happen that are out of our control.

  • Does aMANda's BEST FRIEND offer package rates?

    We currently do not offer loyalty packages, but please stay tuned as this is something we hope to add in the future.
